How to read the recipes: About measuring units

Today we are talking about the default units used in the Bad Brains Cookbook recipes, [we hope that we will have a useful conversion chart, or conversion calculator, but the values have to come from somewhere.]. These are the units we start with.

The reason for this is that your author is Swedish, and is thusly going to work with Swedish standard kitchen units.

A 'matsked' [msk] (swedish for 'tablespoon') is 15 ml in volume, and is 3 'tesked'.
A 'tesked' [tsk] (swedish for 'teaspoon') is 5 ml in volume, and is 5 'kryddmått'.
A 'kryddmått' [krm] (swedish for 'spice measure') is 1 ml in volume.
A 'knivsudd' (swedish for 'knife edge') is a 0.15 ml in volume measure for powders. (Salt, baking powder, spice) It is quite unusual in recipes, and it's likely your author will say 'A pinch' instead, as it is quite difficult to measure 0.15 ml with any sort of accuracy outside a chemistry lab.
